The Junkyard Dogs

My house faces two streets. The front of my house is the street I live on and the back of my house is also a street, but it's the back of my house. There is just too many foot traffic and cars around my area.

An idiot changed his/her car tire and left the old tire by the curb and it was there for over a month. On Sunday morning I woke up to see a medium sized box and about 25 pounds of frozen fish and fish bones in a ripped up blue bag. I guess in exchange for this drop of the fishy gift, the tire that was left by the curbside for over a month was now no where to be seen.

I'm just so tired (no pun intended) of people who think my backyard is some haven for a dumpster ground. I get the regular fast food paraphernalia littered all over my yard on a daily basis and I'm sick of picking up after someone else's trash.

My neighbour is just as bad. Regularly we have bottle ladies who like to rummage through the blue recycling box for refundable bottles. They make a big mess, but refuse to put the other items back in the box. My neighbour likes to put his recycling right on the border of our property so when the bottle ladies are done rummaging, the cat food tins are now on my property and my neighbour refuses to pick it up and put it back in his box.

What is wrong with people? Why can't they just pick up their own garbage especially the cat food tins. I don't own a pet. He knows that! He's constantly asking me if I've seen "Goober" because Goober is a house cat and he walks his house cat on a leash because Goober's afraid.

Yeah I'd be afraid too if my owner only wears bright orange t-shirts every damn day.

My backyard faces a street. It should look like the front of my house. Clean and not littered with candy/gum wrappers, chip bags, fast food cartons, old tires or frozen fish!

oh my Sophia! I so know what you mean! We have a dumpster at the end of our parking lot so about 10 different families walk thru our lot to get to the dumpster and in doing so, drop trash and crap out of their bags and boxes and let it lay.

Geesh...pick up your damn garbage!

I feel for ya girl! Perhaps you should tack up a no littering sign and put it up. Better yet, get a bull horn and every time you see folks littering on your yard, yell thru your bull horn and tell them to pick the shit up or you will unleash your pit bull on them.

I know what you mean as well about people being Junkyard Dogs. Before we moved here the house we lived at had a trash dumpster in the back alley (2 houses to a dumpster). If anyone didn't put all their trash in, left a mess or threw anyway anything that wasn't supposed to be there you would get a letter.

One summer we got new neighbors who were slobs (trash in yard, house) and they would miss the dumpster. Husband would pick up the trash but would also call the company to complain. This same summer another couple from a house would only dump their trash about once a month-they were so lazy that would load up the back of their truck and would drive to the alley to the trash bins. This couple would end up hitting the different trash bins because they had so much trash. One time when the trash was picked they came to our dumpster and over filled it-again we called the company because now we had nowhere to put our trash. It came to the point where if we saw the truck driving in the alley that we would go out there just so that the people would avoid our bin. They were so darn lazy that they couldn't walk outside their backyard and empty their trash instead of letting it build up and filling up other people's trash bins!

I hope you can find some solution for your problem! It sucks that people just don't care and figure if it is off their property than it isn't their problem anymore.
